Dear Baby Ethan,
Today was a nice day. Grandma, Grandpa, Rose, and your daddy went to breakfast and then came to see me for a bit . Grandpa and Grandma watched Rose so that your daddy and I could take a tour of the NICU just in case you need it. We learned that your brain will double in size between 36 and 40 weeks. I feel bad that you likely won't get much of that time. We are planning a C-section as of now at 36 weeks plus two days.
After the tour we chatted for a bit. Rose was getting a bit annoyed. She needed a nap! We managed to get her to lay down after she cried for 30 minutes. I felt bad for our neighbors. She slept on the hospital bed with me for an hour or so. She wanted some of her Super Simple Songs on Youtube, and we played some, watched a lot of HGTV. Rose is counting to 10 on her own at 20 months, and enjoys pretending to talk on the phone.
It was a nice lazy day! I'm so excited for your scan tomorrow to see how you're growing!
So far we have been in the hospital 18 nights.
Upcoming Events
We get to see how your growth is going on August 3rd when we do another sonogram. Tomorrow!
August 15th is the 6 year anniversary for your daddy and I! We got married August 15, 2009 in Kansas City. I feel so lucky and blessed to have a good husband that is so low maintenance.
Your Ummichi will be here Friday August 21st for baby Anna Beth's baptism. She will be here for a bit to help take care of Anna and Rose. That is just 4 weeks from today, when you will be 34 weeks along and in even better shape to be born.
Your birthday will likely be September 8th! Just 38 days!

They always put a bunch of rubber bands in Rose's hair at daycare. It's such a pain to take them out!
